Angela McCormack is an Australian educator, Visual Arts curriculum specialist, writer and creative consultant with more than 25 years of experience in Art education.
Her experience spans classroom teaching, curriculum design, teacher education, academic lecturing, educational publishing, arts advocacy and creative consultancy. Angela has worked across primary, secondary and tertiary education and has advised organisations including QCAA, AITSL, QAGOMA and Cambridge University Press on Visual Arts curriculum, assessment and teaching.
Through Understanding Art, she brings together expertise in visual literacy, contemporary culture, art, education, storytelling and creative practice to help audiences engage more deeply with art, identity and the visual world around them.
The platform combines thoughtful writing, cultural commentary, educational resources, workshops, consultancy and creative projects designed to make artworks more accessible, meaningful and relevant to contemporary life.
